Athletics has 37 honored on President’s and Dean’s lists for spring 2024
During a busy spring semester, UHV student-athletes still found time to take care of business in the classroom.
Recently, UHV announced its spring 2024 President's and Dean's list honorees and 37 student-athletes were named to one of the lists. This comes on the heels of a semester which featured a fifth-place finish at the NAIA National Championship for men's golf, an NAIA Opening Round appearance for softball, a second-place finish at the Red River/Frontier Conference tournament for women's golf and baseball tying the single-season program wins record.
"This represents nearly a quarter of our student athletes. Our primary goal is to help our student-athletes receive a degree and education to put them on a path to achieve their career goals and become the best citizens they can be," said UHV Director of Athletics Ashley Walyuchow. "These Jaguars embody that philosophy and we couldn't be prouder of them."
The President's List honors undergraduates who earn a 4.0 grade-point average on all work completed during the spring semester. To qualify for the Deans' List, undergraduates must earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
The recognitions are awarded each fall and spring semester. A minimum of nine semester hours is required.
