LONGVIEW – Freshman Dario Elsen put together one of the best performances for the UHV men's soccer team on Thursday.
The Weywertz, Belgium, native scored twice and provided an assist to lift the Jaguars to a 3-1 win over Texas College in their Red River Athletic Conference opener at Lear Park in Longview.
Over the last three games, UHV has scored 10 goals.
Elsen scored the first goal on an assist from Osiel Robledo before capping UHV's scoring on a pass from Einar Rolfsen. He's scored three times in the last two matches for the Jaguars (3-0-1, 1-0)
Baillie O'Reilly was on the end of Elsen's pass for UHV's second goal of the match. The Burbage, England, native has scored in three consecutive matches for the Jaguars and shares the team-lead with Elsen in goals scored with three.
Tyler Kaeppeli earned the win in goal for the Jaguars, his second this season and 13th of his career.
The Jaguars will wrap up their road trip at Jarvis Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in Hawkins, Texas.
