Bickelmann in Top 5 after first day of Schreiner Shoot-Out
KERRVILLE – UHV's Emmily Bickelmann turned in another strong round to put herself in position for a Top 5 finish after the first round of the Schreiner Shoot-Out at The Club at Comanche Trace.
The senior from Weisbaden, Germany, carded a 77 (+5) with two birdies to sit T-5 after the first round. She sits four shots off the lead heading into Tuesday's final round.
As a team, the Jaguars sit eighth after shooting a 335 on Monday.
Madeline Pate is T-21 as the Jaguars' next-best score after an 82 in the opening round.
Kaitlin Lopez is T-33 after an 86 in the opening round. Reese Trujillo is T-43 (90) and Evelyn Nguyen is T-54 (94).
The tournament wraps up on Tuesday.
