The UHV Men's Soccer team suffered its first loss of the season on Thursday after dropping a 2-0 decision to LSU Shreveport.
The Jaguars fall to 3-1-2 overall and 1-1-1 in the Red River Athletic Conference.
UHV's offense struggled against the Pilots (6-2-2, 3-0-0), managing two shots and one on goal. Klaidas Pudlauskas and Dario Elsen each had a shot for UHV. Pudlauskas forced LSUS' Kyle Mcleish into his only save of the game.
Junior goalkeeper Tyler Kaeppeli made three saves on the five shots he faced from the Pilots.
Goals by Jack Thomas in the 12th and 71st minutes gave LSUS the victory.
The Jaguars return to action at home on Saturday against Texas A&M-Texarkana at 3:30 p.m. for Youth Soccer Appreciation Weekend. All kids 12 and under wearing their youth soccer jerseys get in free.
