Bio

Adrian Rigby was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in June 2017. Rigby joined UHV in the Spring of 2010 as the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach and will continue in those roles in addition to his administrative duties.

Rigby has been instrumental in the growth in UHV fundraising and development efforts. UHV Athletics has seen a steady increase in its yearly fundraising campaign known as Weekend for the Jaguars. In an effort to increase community engagement and establish new community partnerships, Rigby manages the quarterly JAG After Hours, which community members can enjoy a social networking event and get up to speed on all the latest news from UHV Athletics. He has also successfully solicited the largest gift from a student-athlete alum.

He is responsible for creation and continued oversight of the J.A.G. (Jobs After Graduation) Program for UHV student-athlete. The J.A.G. Program is a class specific workforce readiness program designed to aid UHV student-athletes in their transition into the careers.

Rigby has spearheaded several capital projects including the initial build of the soccer game field in 2010, practice field in 2017 and then oversaw the reconstruction of the UHV Soccer game field in 2019 to one of the finer collegiate soccer fields in Texas.

Additionally Rigby is responsible for the oversight of the UHV Athletics Internship program which is housed in the UHV School of Business. He is an active member of the UHV Campus and has served on numerous hiring committees including the UHV Academic Strategic Plan Committee, the UHV Scholarship Committee and the UHV Diversity and Inclusion: Student Recruitment and Retention Committee.

He was named RRAC Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year in 207, 2019, 2020 and 2021. His coaching staff was named 2019 United Soccer Coaches NAIA West Region Staff of the Year.
