The UHV women's soccer team put together a strong defensive effort on Thursday, but couldn't get the win in the end.
The Jaguars fell 1-0 to LSU Alexandria after holding their opponent scoreless for the first 60 minutes and 47 seconds of the match. Prior to Thursday, the Generals were averaging 3.9 goals per game.
Junior goalkeeper Hayli Nichols made a season-high six saves in goal for UHV (5-3-5, 3-2-3).
The Jaguars forced LSUA's (9-3-0, 6-1-0) Avery Wright into three saves with Kaitlyn Kongdara, Chloe Spencer and Katerin Morales each having a shot on goal.
