The UHV women's soccer team will look to build on last Saturday's win when it welcomes second-place LSU Alexandria to The Cage Thursday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
The Jaguars (5-2-5, 3-1-3) are coming off a 5-0 win at Paul Quinn College on Saturday in which Estelle Flanagan notched her first career hat trick.
"We're excited about the upcoming game against LSUA," said head coach Adrian Rigby. "We've had a good week in preparation for the game and we'll look to take some confidence into the game."
Following the hat trick, Flanagan leads the team with six goals this season, which ranks eighth in the Red River Athletic Conference.
The senior from McKinney now has 26 goals in her career, which ranks third all-time at UHV behind Sheilat Akapo (31, 2012-15) and Emily Lupton (47, 2014-17).
Yasly Escobar's goal on Saturday made her the 13th different Jaguar to score this season.
Including the suspended Jarvis Christian game, which concluded on Oct. 2, UHV has scored an average of 3.75 goals per game.
The Jaguars will face a tough test against LSU Alexandria (8-3-0, 5-1).
The Generals rank third in the conference for goals (43) and goals for average (3.91), and have won five straight matches.
This will be the 12th meeting all-time between UHV and LSU Alexandria, including a rematch of last year's RRAC Semifinals that saw the Jaguars fall to the Generals.
Thursday will also be UHV's annual Pink Out game in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
