SAN ANTONIO – The UHV women's soccer team fell 2-0 to Our Lady of the Lake in a Red River Athletic Conference game on Thursday at the OLLU Soccer Field.
With the loss, the Jaguars fall to 6-6-5 overall and 4-5-2 in the RRAC with one more match in the regular season.
Freshman goalkeeper Franciezca Blancaflor put together another strong effort in goal, saving nine shots against the Saints. In her last three matches, the Salado native has posted 20 saves.
UHV managed eight shots with three coming from Kaydee Cox. Sofia Skyriotis had two shots, both on goal in the loss.
OLLU (8-4-2, 7-3-2) opened the game's scoring with a goal from Lyndee Rheinberger. The Saints added a second goal late thanks to a shot from Sara Garza.
The Jaguars will host Texas A&M-San Antonio at 1 p.m. on Saturday for Senior Day.
UHV currently sits in eighth place in the RRAC, which is the final RRAC Tournament berth. A win Saturday would secure UHV's place in the conference tournament.
