Jags rally for draw against Jarvis

The UHV women's soccer team picked up a draw on Monday thanks to a second-half goal.

Estelle Flanagan scored in the 68^th minute for a 1-1 draw with Jarvis Christian in Red River Athletic Conference play. The game resumed play in the 37^th minute, 16 days after the match was suspended due to weather on Sept. 16.

It was the 23^rd career goal for the senior forward from McKinney as the Jaguars moved to 4-2-4 overall and 2-1-2 in conference play.

Andrea Aborqui and Chloe Spencer each led UHV with three shots apiece.

Junior goalkeeper Hayli Nichols made three saves for the Jaguars in the draw.

UHV found itself behind just before halftime when the Bulldogs' (1-6-2, 1-4-1) Nicole Chezes scored in the 43^rd minute.

The Jaguars will hit the road for games at University of the Southwest and Paul Quinn College this Thursday and Saturday.
