DALLAS – Estelle Flanagan had a career day to help the UHV women's soccer team to a win on Saturday.
Flanagan, a senior, scored a hat trick and provided an assist in the Jaguars' (5-2-5, 3-1-3) 5-0 win over Paul Quinn College on Saturday.
It was the first career hat trick for the McKinney native and her seven points are a new career best. With six goals this year, Flanagan now has 26 in her career.
Flanagan scored her three goals on a team-leading six shots against the Tigers (1-11, 0-8). She joins Kaydee Cox as UHV players to score a hat trick this season.
Yasly Escobar opened the scoring for UHV in the first half with Flanagan assisting on the goal. Escobar then assisted on Andrea Aborqui's goal in the second half.
Aborqui, Noa Txintxuerreta, Maja Eriksson, Camden Garner and Chloe Spencer also had assists in Saturday's win.
UHV returns home to face LSU Alexandria at 1 p.m. on Thursday for the team's Pink Out game.
