TEXARKANA, TX – The UHV women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday.
The Jaguars (3-1-3, 1-1-1) fell 3-1 to the Eagles (9-0-0, 4-0-0) on the road after three first-half goals by the hosts.
Andrea Aborqui was able to pull one back for UHV in the 61st minute with her first goal of the year. It was one of three shots on goal Saturday for the Bakersfield, California, native.
UHV also got one shot on goal each from Estelle Flanagan, Trine Stenderup-Jorgensen and Kaitlyn Kongdara.
Junior goalkeeper Hayli Nichols made a season-high five saves on Saturday.
The Jaguars will look to bounce back at home on Wednesday when they host Schreiner University at 1 p.m.
