The UHV women's soccer team returns to The Cage Saturday at 1 p.m. for Red River Athletic Conference play.
The Jaguars (5-3-5, 3-2-3) hope to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to LSU Alexandria on Thursday when they face Louisiana Christian (12-2-0, 6-2-0).
UHV put together one of its strongest defensive performances on Thursday, limiting an offense which scored an average of 3.9 goals per game to just one. Junior goalkeeper Hayli Nichols made a season-high six saves for the Jaguars.
The Jaguars will look to kick-start their offense against the Wildcats.
Senior Estelle Flanagan leads the team with six goals and 16 points (6 G, 4 A) this season. Freshman Kaydee Cox has found the back of the net five times on a team-leading 24 shots.
This will be the third all-time meeting between UHV and LCU, with both teams winning once. The Jaguars won last year's meeting 1-0 thanks to a goal from Chloe Spencer.
LCU enters Saturday after a win over Huston-Tillotson on Thursday.
Saturday will also be Family Weekend for UHV.
