Bickelmann closes strong as Jags finish third at CAC Tournament
SMITHVILLE, Mo. – Senior Emmily Bickelmann closed her career on a high note.
The Weisbaden, Germany, native tied her season-low round on Tuesday with a 74 to go 86-74—160 (+16) and finish fifth at the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex.
Bickelmann had a team-leading four birdies and 14 pars to go just two-over-par at the Par 72 track. It was her fifth Top 5 finish this season and seventh finish inside the Top 10. She was named to the All-Tournament team.
Her strong finish helped the Jaguars shoot 345-336—681 and finish third as a team. Our Lady of the Lake won the tournament, going 327-306—633 over the two days. University of Victoria (BC) finished second (341-319—660).
Freshman Madeline Pate turned in her third Top 10 finish of the season after going 84-83—167 over the two rounds. She kept a tidy scorecard with no holes worse than bogey.
Senior Evelyn Nguyen finished just outside the Top 10 by one stroke in 11th after going 87-85—172.
Junior Kaitlin Lopez finished 19th (88-95—183) while freshman Remme Trujillo (94-94—188) finished 20th.
Junior Laney Glass was named UHV's Champion of Character representative.
This tournament marks the end of the 2024-25 season for women's golf.
