Jags set to host UHV Classic

Recap Results

The UHV women's golf team will participate in its final tournament of the fall when it hosts the UHV Fall Classic Monday and Tuesday at Victoria Country Club.

The Jaguars finished second in a tri-match with Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern on Oct. 3.

UHV has finished in the Top 5 as a team in its first two full-field tournaments this year.

Emmily Bickelmann paced UHV last time out with a Top 5 finish after shooting a 79 at VCC. The Weisbaden, German, native is averaging 79.1 strokes per round entering the tournament.

Mia Lerma shot an 81 the last time out. She and fellow senior Cecelia Niemietz were second in the field of the tri-match in birdies with two each.

Competing in the tournament are University of the Southwest, Our Lady of the Lake, St. Thomas-Houston, University of Dallas and Blinn College.

Play will start at 8:30 a.m. Monday at VCC.
