UHV's Blinka, Chambers named to RRAC All-Tournament team

SAN ANTONIO – The Red River Athletic Conference named UHV's Claire Blinka and Kenzie Chambers to the All-Tournament team on Sunday.

Blinka, a Port Lavaca native, racked up six hits and six RBIs in five games. She had a three-run home run in the Jaguars (28-18) first meeting with Our Lady of the Lake. Five of her hits came in UHV's final two games.

The junior first baseman had a team-leading 45 RBIs this season.

Chambers, a sophomore utility player, had five hits and seven stolen bases in the tournament. The Grand Prairie native swiped a base in each of the Jaguars' five tournament games.

She had 36 stolen bases, which was second in the conference this year.

This year marked the sixth consecutive season in which UHV reached the conference semifinals.
