9 Jags earn All-Conference honors
WACO – The UHV baseball team had a historic regular season in 2024 and the All-Red River Athletic Conference selections show it.
The Jaguars (33-15) had nine players selected to either first or second team, gold glove or Champions of Character by the conference coaches.
The selections were highlighted by four first team honorees with Hayden Leopold, Raul Lopez, Julian Garcia and Jacob Baker earning some of the top honors in the conference.
Brady Parker, Mason Longoria and Hal Perez were second team selections.
Juan Perez earned the RRAC Gold Glove at third base while Langston White was named UHV's representative on the Champions of Character team.
"I'm extremely proud of these guys and the recognition they're getting," said head coach Jonathan Stavinoha. "Each of them have worked hard all year to help continue to raise the standard of UHV baseball and are extremely deserving of this. Now, we want to handle business at the conference tournament."
UHV is scheduled to face Texas A&M-Texarkana at 5 p.m. on Friday in a winner's bracket game of the RRAC Tournament at the Sterlington Sports Complex in Sterlington, La.
